A fast-food worker goes above and beyond for a 4-year-old girl.

Over the weekend I went camping with my family. My niece Danielle, the sweetest girl on the planet, is 4-years-old and she loves her Minion toy from her Happy Meal.

She brought the toy around with here everywhere we went. While Danielle and my other niece Sommer were playing on their scooters right in front of our campsite, we noticed that a car was coming.

We moved quickly to get out of the road so the approaching car could safely pass by us. Danielle made a scream and tried to run for her Minion toy. She accidentally dropped him in the middle of the road. We made sure she wouldn't run to get it as the car was getting closer and closer. Then "BOOM!" The car ran over Danielle's prized Minion toy.

That poor Minion shattered into a million pieces, and so did Danielle's heart. I've never heard a child scream so loud in my entire life. Her friend, her toy, her companion was crushed underneath a car right in front of her.

I promised I would try my hardest to find one for her. I searched and called as many McDonald's locations as I could looking for the prized toy. No one had it. I thought it was a lost cause. How was I going to explain to a 4-year-old that I was going to break my promise.

I went to one final location to speak with an employee named Beverly about the Minion toy. She already told me on the phone they didn't have it, but would be happy to show me the other toys they had to offer.

I went into the location, introduced myself to her and she went back for one final look to see if she had the toy.

Guess what!? She did! The final toy! The final perfect Minion toy that Danielle so much loved.

Beverly was one of the nicest people I have ever met. She told me how happy she was that she found it and that she would do anything to make a child smile. Beverly, if you are reading this, I want to say thank you.

More people need to be like Beverly in this world. A small act of kindness goes a long way. I can't wait to see the look on Danielle's face when she receives her new Minion toy.

So for fun, I've taken Danielle's new Minion toy on a tour of the office. 'Talking Guard Minion' sure had a good time.
