Enjoy Rockford’s Cuisine From Around World One Curbside At A Time
You can enjoy cuisine from around the world here in Rockford one curbside at a time.
I've lived and worked in Rockford for a long time now. I've been lucky enough to have the opportunity to meet, interview, talk to many different people from here throughout the years. There's been one common theme. When I ask them what their favorite thing is about the Forest City, almost all of them answer the food. I have to agree. We have a lot of excellent locally-owned restaurants in our community. Plus, we have a wide variety.
In 2020, there's very little traveling going on for families to have an opportunity to experience different things. Well, guess what. You don't have to leave the city limits to try some meals from all over the world. Many are available right here in the state line area. It's as easy as a simple phone call order and curbside pick-up. You don't even have to get out of your vehicle. It will also really help out these business owners during this difficult time.
According to gorockford.com, here's just a few to give you an idea of what's out there. Remember there are so many options. I'm just giving a few. Do yourself a favor and research what's available.
- Mexican - Lucha Cantina
- Italian - Lino's
- Swedish - Stockholm Inn
- Japanese - JMK Nippon
- Chinese - Great Wall Restaurant
- Vietnamese - Hai Quynh Vietnamese Cuisine
- Lao - Lao Kitchen
- Thai - Sisters Thai Cafe
- Mediterranean - Sahara Palace
- Indian - House of India
- Balkan - Prodavnica
- Scandinavian - The Norwegian
- German - Rathskell\er
That's a pretty impressive list to get you started. That doesn't even begin to cover the ethnic restaurants in Rockford let alone all the others. Just think about this. If you ate out once a week, it would take you several months to eat around the world in Rockford one curbside at a time.
