$1 Million Worth Of Tools Goes Missing From Wisconsin Company
I've heard this kind of story many times through the years. An employee attempts to steal from their company, only to get caught and face a lengthy prison sentence. I'm not talking about a couple of small items. These kinds of thefts are big-time.

I just want to ask one of these suspects. What were you thinking? You're not a professional criminal. It won't take long for your company to trace the stolen merchandise back to you. There's no way you're getting away with it.
In this case, the suspect worked for Milwaukee Tool. He created the orders himself and had them delivered to his apartment. That's 9,000 pounds of tools. Of course, the company that is bringing the products to him is going to question the delivery. It's not a store or company. What is he going to do with all that stuff in his small place?

I'm really surprised that his company didn't realize what was going on for a full year. They might want to re-evaluate their ordering system. Yeah, the suspect deleted the orders after the orders were sent, but that's a lot of merchandise leaving the warehouse without any payment.
According to WISN...
More than $1 million in tools was stolen from Milwaukee Tool, allegedly by an employee who shipped the tools to himself and others without paying, according to investigators.
The scheme went undetected by upper management for over a year until the employee ordered approximately 9,000 pounds of tools to be delivered to his Wauwatosa apartment.
However, investigators indicated in the search warrant that "due to the large quantity of stolen tools, he may have been working with businesses/customers to sell the tools in large volume and move them quickly."
