I remember when I was in high school. One of my buddies had a much older brother. He had graduated from college and moved to another state for his new career. My friend started going through his siblings stuff he left behind to see if there was anything worth keeping. He did find a couple of interesting items.

He discovered a really old bag of weed, rolling papers, and a bong. It must've been his brother's from when he was in high school. My friend didn't think of it, he just tossed the stuff in the garbage and then moved on.

Well, a woman in Illinois recently went through a similar scenerio. She was pulling out her Halloween decorations for the season and she found two jars of weed mixed in with it. I'm guessing it belonged to one of her family members. The lady wasn't too happy about finding pot in her stuff, so she called the cops. They got rid of it for her.

In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving jars of marijuana, gym thefts, a kidnapping scam, a burglary and fugitive drivers.

Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:

A resident in the 800 block of South Bryan Street told police that while looking for Halloween decorations on Oct. 6, she found two jars containing what appeared to be marijuana. Police put the jars into evidence.
