A major arena in Illinois is now offering a controversial drink during some events, and it's the first time a beverage like this has been sold in a venue like this one.

The United Center In Chicago Is The First Large Arena To Serve THC Drinks

The next time you attend an event at the United Center in Chicago, there's a good chance you'll have the opportunity to try out a new beverage. The famous arena will now be serving hemp-derived THC drinks. The drinks will mostly be available at concerts. The NBA and NHL don't allow for cannabis drinks to be sold during the games.

According to Fox 32 Chicago...

The Chicago arena announced a multi-year partnership with Chicago-based brands Señorita and RHYTHM that will make hemp-derived THC beverages available at most concerts and live events.

I'm not surprised. The Wirtz Family, who own the Chicago Blackhawks and shares the United Center with the Bulls, is involved with the cannabis industry. It's a new world we live in. Marijuana use is no longer taboo. In fact, many younger drinkers are looking for non-alcoholic alternatives, and THC drinks are at the top of their lists

This is the first time that an arena in the United States will be serving THC-infused drinks. You will have to be 21 or older to purchase the beverages. They will be made available throughout the building. It will be interesting to see how well they sell.
