A fake concert promoter was arrested in Illinois, he promised Tom Petty back in 2012 to an Amazon Executive for his wedding reception! SG

A big shooter at Amazon, Brian Valentine, who was the senior Vice President back in 2012...got sucked into a Tom Petty deal. Mr. Valentine wanted Tom Petty to play his wedding reception, as a gift to his new bride...That's a hell of a gift! I mean, I has Wayland and that was awesome, could you imagine the late Tom Petty!?!?

So Mr. Valentine looked up booking Tom Petty online, he found a guy named Chad Christopher Lund who was a "concert promoter," and claimed he knew the Petty Camp personally and could probably get him for a "deal." His deal, $330,000 for Tom Petty to play the wedding reception.

The fake concert promoter, "LundLive" also claimed they could get acts such as Run-DMC, Kansas, and Ludacri. That's quite the variety!

Mr. Valentine send "LundLive" a down payment of $165,000 to secure Tom Petty for his big day. In return, "LundLive" sent the email address of Chris Adamson, that would be Tom Petty's production manager...so they could work out the details. So....that was pretty much where it ended. For $165,000 Mr. Valentine got an email address. This was the return email that Mr. Valentine received:

“We have never heard of Chris Lund or his agency. We are not aware of any deal for Tom Petty to play Seattle in July and I have never signed a contract for any such.” He added, “It looks like you have been defrauded.” SG

A P.I. was hired, and Lund was tracked down and arrested in Illinois. Oh by the way, Tom Petty DID in fact play the Amazon exec's weddign reception after all this mess!
