A comedian was assaulted Saturday by an audience member after he was told to "stop talking."

At the end of a two-hour open mic set at Mutiny Radio in the city's Mission district is when the comedian, Capital Pilcrow, lost his spot and was checking his phone for notes. That's when a audience member said something to Pilcrow, and he responded with, "I do know who you are, so shut, stop talking.”

Apparently that was the tipping point for the audience member, who then jumped out of his chair and attacked Pilcrow. He was knocked off stage and punched several times.

Pilcrow and others injured during the altercation have declined to press charges against the assailant, whose identity is unknown.
