National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation was released in 1989, to surprisingly tepid reviews, but that did change the public's perception of the Chevy Chase led flick.

After coming out on VHS, then DVD and now Blu-Ray, the movie is a beloved Christmas cult classic.

So it makes sense that AMC would bring back the movie for a limited time starting tonight.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is set to have a one week run at select theaters across the country and we lucked out, AMC 14 in Machesney Park will be it's home in the Rockford area for the next 7 days.
