Big Scam In Illinois For Chicago Bears Free Training Camp Tickets

It's no secret that I'm a die-hard Chicago Bears fan. I was born and bred in orange and blue. I'm a fan no matter what. There have been times when I was close to giving up but didn't. My family has had season tickets since 1982 so you know what I've been through.

Of course, there have been years where I couldn't pay people to use my tickets. You could easily get into any of their other events like the draft party or training camp. That aspect was nice. There were no bandwagoners to worry about. Just the true fans. Things are starting to change.

All of a sudden, after a couple of really bad years the team is starting to turn it around. They drafted a really good young quarterback. People are getting excited. I've started to see changes with fans. The bandwagoners are starting to come back.

I tried to get tickets for the draft party and it sold out in a couple of minutes. That was the first time I didn't attend that event. Then the free tickets for training camp were about to be released. I had a feeling it was going to be a popular ticket, so I went on right away to pick some up.

Once again, I was shut out. I hate bandwagon jumpers. Now, the team moved training camp to Halas Hall, their headquarters in Lake Forest. There are far fewer tickets available but I still wasn't expecting a sell-out in 5 minutes.

Sports Mockery

Then, I found out there was a big scam going on. Ticket brokers and people in the secondary market picked up a bunch of tickets and are now trying to sell them for big money. To me, that's just bogus.
