Chicago Bears Announced Their 2018 Schedule

It's an exciting time of year for Chicago Bears fans with the release of their 2018 schedule.

As a longtime Chicago Bear season ticket holder, I always look forward to seeing the new schedule. Of course, there's lots of hope for a great season.

Here's how 2018 stacks up for the "Monsters of the Midway."

Week 1

• Sun 9/9 7:20pm at Green Bay Packers
  • Season opener in Green Bay during primetime, not to be negative but I'm going to call that a loss.

Week 2

• Mon 9/17 7:15pm vs Seattle Seahawks
  • Home opener on Monday night football, a new coach with lots of pressure. There's loss number two.

Week 3

• Sun 9/23 3:25pm at Arizona Cardinals
  • The Cards are rebuilding, so after going 0-2 here's the first win.

Week 4

• Sun 9/30 noon vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • The first home win for the rookie head coach, the Bucs are just bad.

Week 5

• Bye Week

Week 6

• Sun 10/14 noon at Miami Dolphins
  • Another bad team, I'm thinking a win coming off the bye week.

Week 7

• Sun 10/21 noon vs New England Patriots
  • Not just a loss, but I'm calling a blowout.

Week 8

• Sun 10/28 noon vs New York
  • They will bounce back after getting crushed.

Week 9

• Sun 11/4 noon at Buffalo Bills
  • It will be a struggle in a hostile environment, a loss for the team.

Week 10

• Sun 11/11 noon vs Detroit Lions
  • Division rival games are always tough but the Bears win this one with the home field advantage.

Week 11

• Sun 11/18 noon vs Minnesota Vikings
  • Vikings are too good so it's a loss for the good guys.

Week 12

• Thu 11/22 11:30am at Detroit Lions
  • Thanksgiving Day in the Motor City, not a chance.

Week 13

• Sun 12/2 noon at New York Giants
  • This team from NY is far away from competing, I'll take the win here.

Week 14

• Sun 12/9 noon vs Los Angeles Rams
  • The Rams are really good, not going to be fun for Chicago.

Week 15

• Sun 12/16 noon vs Green Bay Packers
  • The Bears will steal this one from Aaron Rodgers

Week 16

• Sun 12/23 3:05pm at San Francisco 49'ers
  • Much improved 49'er team, Bears lose on the road.

Week 17

• Sun 12/30 noon at Minnesota Vikings
  • Wrapping up 2018 with a loss.

My prediction for the 2018 Bears is 7-9. Not great but much better than the last couple of seasons.
