So far this season, there's only two concerts schedule at Wrigley Field and here's why.

One of my hobbies is going to concerts. Especially, in the summertime. Outdoor live shows are the best.

Over the last few years, Wrigley Field has become one of my favorite venues. I look forward to seeing a band there at least once each season.

Unfortunately, it looks like that streak might end. There are only two shows scheduled so far in 2019. Those are with Dead and Company on June 14th and 15th.

What happened?

According to chicago.suntimes.com,

“There’s no specific reason beyond availability of tour artists and the baseball schedule that helps determine when we can book an act."

Could that change?

"Though it’s only a couple months before the summer concert season kicks into high gear, there could still be additions made to this year’s list. No further details."

It's kind of like Alpine Valley Music Theater last year. There's only a certain kind of act they can put in Wrigley Field. It's much better to not do one, instead of scheduling the wrong kind.

This could mean a huge loss of revenue for the city and team.

Hopefully, they can pull off a couple more.
