We're quickly approaching that time of the year for back-to-back holidays. All of these holidays involved spending time in big groups and travel, two things which are frowned up at the moment. We know the basic "play it safe" tips like wearing face masks, frequent hand washing, etc. What about tips for pulling off the big fall and winter holidays? Here are a few from the CDC.

Instead of potluck-style gatherings, encourage guests to bring food and drinks for themselves and for members of their own household only.

If serving any food, consider having one person serve all the food so that multiple people are not handling the serving utensils.

The big topic at the moment is what about Halloween and trick-or-treating. Halloween can still be celebrated but CDC is recommending we not participate in door-to-door trick-or-treating. They have shared even more suggestions for being safe during the pandemic and listed what type or Halloween celebrations are lower, moderate, and high-risk activities. Find them here.

For the remaining winter holidays, the CDC says to keep the number of guests low (if you're a host) and encourage guests to mask up. If you're an invited guest, bring your mask and hand sanitizer. Also, if you're around people outside your household or have traveled, self-quarantine for 14 days.

Host outdoor activities rather than indoor activities as much as possible. If hosting an outdoor event is not possible, and you choose to host an indoor event, avoid crowded, poorly ventilated, or fully enclosed indoor spaces.
