Brutal Rock Band Breakups

I'm not shedding any tears over yesterdays Foo Fighters announcement. Actually I could care less.

Rock bands break up all the time, and a bunch of these breakups can be pretty ugly.

You spend every waking second with each other as a rock band. Four of five dudes trapped in a metal tube flying down the highway 200+ days a year.

There are creative differences, personal differences, basically you are in this strange marriage with a bunch of other guys.

Here are some legendary rock bands that called it quits and wanted to kill each other at some point:

• The Beatles
• Black Sabbath
• Allman Brothers
• Guns N' Roses
• Van Halen

So let's look at Van Halen. David Lee Roth out, Sammy Hagar in. But then Hagar was released, or fired, or quit, or something. I don't think we ever really heard the truth about this one. I can remember a strange MTV special where Eddie was cursing, Alex was ticked and then Dave was back, wait what??

As we know "most" of these artists get back together at some point, do the reunion tour thing and life is good. Can't we all just get along??
