Boys and Girls Club Ready for Baseball in Rockford

Time to play ball in the stateline and The Boys and Girls Club fields received some needed attention.

Members of the Rockford community helped prepare the Boys and Girls Club baseball fields for little league season. Painting, trash pick up, and a good cleaning of the fields was done.

On top of the clean up efforts The Boys and Girls Club of Rockford received a $5,000 donation from US Cellular for academic programs.

According to WIFR all of the volunteer work cut down dramatically on time spent cleaning. The volunteer's hard work is part of a US Cellular national campaign to help Boys and Girls Clubs across the country.
