While walking around Downtown Rockford I found a hidden gem that exceeded all my expectations—Bop Bop Korean BBQ & Rice Bowl restaurant located in the Rockford City Market serves Korean flavors that make me think for a moment, am I in Rockford or Seoul.

Our meal began with galbi where marinated  bone in short ribs were grilled until they reached perfection. The galbi showcased its signature taste with tender and juicy meat that perfectly embodied the rich Korean savory sauce. The dish exhibited a flawless combination of smoky tones and richness that I enjoyed.

Bulgogi: Sweet, Savory, and Satisfying
We then tried bulgogi which consisted of thinly sliced ribeye that had been marinated in a rich Korean savory sauce as well. The bulgogi arrived steaming hot and delivered an outstanding taste sensation. The dish had the perfect texture because it was soft yet juicy while the slight caramelization provided satisfying crunch in spots. The steamed rice bowl complemented perfectly.

Dragonberry (with strawberry popping boba). Amazing, next time I won't just get one and share it, I will get my own.
