DeVos will be coming to Jefferson High School, in an event closed to the public, to learn about their college and career preparation opportunities.

Not all are happy about the visit and are planning to protest.

The Rockford Education Association and the Illinois Education Association are planning to wear red as a protest to the Secretary's visit to Jefferson.

They are also urging teachers and support staff across the state to do the same.

Why red?

Red is to symbolize the importance of equitable public education for all students.
