All it takes is one to win, and you can't win if you don't play. A woman in Belvidere hit the jackpot on a scratch-off ticket, and it's huuuuuge.

Martha Barradas, of Belvidere, may want to keep the coin that she used to scratch a $250,000 Crossword ticket because it may have brought her some awesome luck. According to Illinois Lottery, Martha picked up more than a free ticket and more like $250,000.

“I was so surprised that I won!” she said when she presented her ticket at the lottery Prize Center in Rockford.

She purchased the ticket at 7-Eleven, 707 Logan St., in Belvidere. Just for selling the winning ticket, 7-Eleven picked up $2,500. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Martha said she plans on putting the money in the bank for now.
