Thieves smashed into a gas station and stole an ATM on the Northwest Side Monday morning, Chicago police said.

The type of crimes that kind of freak me out are these smash and grab incedents. They've become super popular with thieves over the last couple of years. Besides the stealing part, the major problem is that they cause major damage to businesses, and an innocent bystander can get seriously injured.
