Another day at Work in Rockford
In the light of another tragic news story, keep your chin up Rockford.
Coming to work on a Monday after learning about this past weekends horrible mass shooting, we must continue to live glass half full.
Starting the work week can be hard enough, but after what happened you may not be in the best of spirits. How can you stay happy and pass it along to others?
According to All Talk there are 8 Things you can do to Brighten a Strangers Day. These suggestions take seconds, and can make a stranger's entire day.
- Post-It A quick not at work on their desk, computer, tool box. Simple, short, easy.
- Fly By Compliment Stroll by a co-worker and tell them you like their shoes.
- Pay it Backward Fast food, coffee, etc...Look behind you and pay for their order too.'
- Sneak a Fiver I like this one a lot. Tape a five dollar bill to something people need at a store. Diapers, formula, etc.
- A Rose by Another Name But a single rose, under a windshield or leave it at their work space
- Make a Donation Rock River Pantry, Northern Illinois Blood Bank, plenty of options locally.
- Smile Easy, costs nothing, can make a stranger do the same back at ya!
- Chivalry Open a door, push in a chair, give up a seat
Enjoy your Monday, and to quote my buddy Frank "Be a Good Human".
