Pizza lovers rejoice, it is a breakfast food!

One nutritionist just made lots of pizza lovers happy by breaking down why it can be a healthier option than cereal.

Registered dietitian Chelsey Amer explains that it all comes down to calorie count as to why cereal may not be as healthy for you as pizza might be in the morning.

“You may be surprised to find out that an average slice of pizza and a bowl of cereal with whole milk contain nearly the same amount of calories,”

Depending on the toppings, that slice could contain more protein to give you a boost and keep you fuller longer throughout the a.m.

It's crazy to think of pizza as healthy because, for a lot of us, it's a go-to when wanting something unhealthy.

But Amer's says that:

 “A slice of pizza contains more fat and much less sugar than most cold cereals, so you will not experience a quick sugar crash.”

Don't get me wrong, sometimes a bowl of cereal is where it's at.

But a slice of cold pizza is even better!
