A Wisconsin Diner Serves One of America’s Most Insane Ice Cream Combos

Give me all the weird stuff when it comes to the eats.

The regular stuff, you know, the standard dishes and meals you get at most restaurants, diners or drive ups are all good but once in a while going for something a bit outside the box is necessary.

You can't just eat the same thing for the rest of your life, right?

Haven't you heard the saying "variety is the spice of life?" As in, when you're going to have an ice cream cone make sure it's something more than plain old vanilla.

That's why when I stumbled upon this list of the 50 Weird Ice Cream in Every State on Delish, I was immediately interested.

When I saw Wisconsin's entry I started considering how long it would take me to get to West Allis.

That's because the home to one of America's most insane ice cream combos is located there at a restaurant called Big Deal Burgers & Custard.

The ice cream in question is called Honeyjack and Coke.

Delish:

This boozy batch is made from a honey-whiskey custard, and, as if that wasn't enough, it also gets a generous drizzle of Jack-Daniels–infused honey.

The website claims that the ice cream is seasonal so you may not be able to get your hands on a cone or bowl of the stuff but it's worth checking into if you want to try some ice cream a little bit left of center.

Katie M. on Yelp said she tried the Honeyjack & Coke Custard "which was delicious; you could just barely taste the whiskey with the hint of coke."

However, Linda B. had a different experience mentioning the "Custard was a big disappointment and kind of grainy texture and not creamy at all."
