Will There Be Baseball At Aviator’s Stadium This Summer?

Uh oh, Rockford's Aviator's Stadium is hitting the auction block in March.

Rockford Aviators Stadium is one of my favorite ball parks. It's everything you need for a perfect outing with friends and family. Good food, great beer and awesome baseball. I sure hope that continues.

WTVO reports that on March 25 through April 2, Aviators Stadium will be on the auction block. Bidding will start at $1.5 million.

Northside Community Bank of Gurnee has foreclosed on the stadium in 2012 when the former owners were unable to make the payments.

What does this mean for The Aviators? Will there be ball this summer?

As of right now, Chris Hanners of Rock Fiver Valley baseball who owns The Aviators says yes.

They do have a lease with the bank through the 2015 season.

What does that mean for the 2016 season, I guess we will have to wait and see.
