Belvidere Native Kyle Lapier Part of Team Penske at Indy 500

Belvidere North graduate Kyle Lapier was part of the action this past weekend at the Indy 500.

Kyle is a rear end suspension mechanic for the #1 Verizon Team Penske Car. The #1 car finished 8th on Sunday at the Indy 500.

Kyle Lapier once was a driver himself, winning multiple races at The Rockford Speedway. Kyle then attended a technical institute to further his education and help continue his career in racing.
