Since I was a kid, I've always enjoyed riding the merry-go-round, and I'm constantly looking for unique carousels to check out.

I grew up in a family that loved amusement parks, especially the roller coasters. As a kid, I remember taking vacations to specifically visit different amusement parks across the United States, searching for the best roller coasters in the world.

It's funny because no one in my family liked the spinning rides. I know it makes me sick, but I've never thrown up from riding a roller coaster. Another ride we enjoyed was the carousel. If an amusement park had one, we would ride it.

Our favorite carousel of all time is the one at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee. It's very unique being a double-decker merry-go-round. We would start our day with a ride on the upper level and before we left for the day, we would take a spin on the lower part too.

If you ever get the chance to visit The House On The Rock, I highly recommend taking the tour that includes a carousel ride. That's because it's the biggest merry-go-round in the world. That's a fun experience for the whole family.
