I was sitting at the bar at Rock Hallow Bar in Freeport, pro wrestling behind me and the game on in front of me. As the final two outs were recorded a guy that goes by the name Stumpy is sitting next to me, he pats me on the back and says, "holy s**t it's gonna happen".

I think there truly couldn't have been a better way to celebrate. My kids and their friend were enjoying all the drop kicks and body slams as I watched the Cubs do something I thought I would never ever see.

So I wanted to know about your Saturday night experience, where were you and what was your "Cubs Win" moment like. Here goes:

Watched the game at home Saturday night. When the Cubs won the pennant, I received texts from childhood friends who were basking in the excitement of an historic moment. A lot of fun. - Ken DeCoster

I was driving back from Iowa City after watching Badgers beat the Hawkeyes - listening to the game on the radio for 7 innings / got home & was afraid to get out of the car and turn the TV on to watch the eighth and ninth but I did and it was glorious – definitely shed a few tears.  - Shane Hartje

Planted on my couch, hoping for the chance to be a part of history. - Kim Williams

I was in section 409 in my season ticket seats with my 10 year old son Alex watching the game. It was an amazing moment that did not have a dry eye anywhere near us. - Michael Hallgren

On the sofa, in Cold Spring Harbor, LI, Ny . Watching the Chicago Cubs MAKE HISTORY !
And I KNOW a lot Of Chicago Cubs FANS . And IM DAMN HAPPY for them !!! - Bruce Eustis

Listened to the first 7 innings in the car. Picked the in-laws up from the airport. The awesome part about the drive was listening to the Chicago Cubs hometown call with Pat & Ron. After dropping them off I had to fill up the car with some go go juice. Little old lady behind the counter asked if I knew the score to the game; she forgot to bring in her radio to listen. When I told her we were up 5-0 she started crying. She came out from her cigarette lotto bunker and gave me a long hug with deep sobs from crying. She said if only her husband was here to witness this. Wayne passed away 4 months ago. After wiping away my tears and saying good bye to Dorothy. I headed over to an already rocking surprise 40th birthday party for my son's Godfather, Michael Holte. There I watched the final 5 outs and began to cry like a 3 year old that just received the new G.I. Joe with the Kung-Fu grip on Christmas morning. Still wake up wondering if this is really happening. Amazing. Pure tears of suffering joy. Actually tearing up as I am typing this. 4 more to go. Go Cubs Go! - Chuck Barham

Four more to go people, Let's Go!
