It will be sad to see The Rockford Speedway wrap things up this year, what an absolutely iconic part of our community.

So in the late 1970's into the early 1980's, The Rockford Speedway was rockin' for sure. Some of the names that played out there, are absolutely amazing. There truly was a who's who of rock from 1976-1980, and what a time frame that was! Rock was in a cool transition, with guys going solo and a new wave of bands starting to explode in the scene.
