The "Wall That Heals" replica Vietnam Memorial visits the Stateline Area as part of the Rockford Chapter VietNow's POW/MIA Remembrance Day Ceremony.

Over 58,000 names have been inscribed in the replica Vietnam Memorial. Over 100 of those names are from the Winnebago County area.

The Wall That Heals opens to the public Thursday at 9 a.m. and will be open 24 hours a day. There is also a candlelight remembrance ceremony Friday Night at 7 p.m. Sunday at 5 p.m. is when the closing ceremony will take place.

According to WIFR, The Wall That Heals will be at the Field of Honor in Loves Park.

Memorials like this are important to remember those who have died saving our lives. It is especially great that it is coming here as many have not been able to travel to Washington D.C. to see their friends and family members on the wall.
