WIFR reported that Beloit Police took two 12-year-olds into custody after a vehicle was spotted driving recklessly in early Friday morning in Beloit.

According to the Beloit Police Department, an officer attempted to stop the vehicle at 8th Street and West Grand Avenue at 12:58 a.m. Friday, July 17th. Instead of pulling over the car fled, only to be spotted 15 minutes later swerving near Bluff Street and Highland Avenue.

At Highland and 8th St. stop strips were used and a 12-year-old Beloit boy was taken into custody for fleeing, he was said to be driving a relative's vehicle.

Also in the vehicle were additional juvenile passengers, two 11-year-olds and one 7-year-old and a 12-year-old girl from Chicago was cited for a curfew violation.
