One place I really enjoyed going to as a kid was the Illinois Railway Museum in Union. Of course, I loved trains when I was little. This place was so much fun. It wasn't just a museum with train cars just sitting around. These grounds are completely operational. Not only do you get to be up close and personal, but you also get to actually ride the trains. That makes for a fun-filled day.
