Today is Redhead Day! 9 Fun Facts About red hair

If you are a Redhead, today is your day! It is "National Love Your Red Hair Day"!

The holiday was started by two Redhead sisters who wanted to help other gingers embrace their look! No these are not the sisters.

According to WTSP out of Tampa Day, there are 9 Fun Facts About red Hair. Here are a couple:

*Having red hair isn't the only thing that makes some redheads unique. They are also more likely to be left handed. Both characteristics come from recessive genes, which like to come in pairs.

*Redheads most commonly have brown eyes. The least common eye color: blue.

So if you are a Ginger, a Redhead, today is your day...I'd celebrate with Red Velvet Cake, but that's just me!
