This Illinois city was declared as the richest in our state.

I'm pretty sure it's not the city you're thinking about either.

If you thought Chicago...you're wrong.

Nope not the "Windy City".

24/7 Wall St did a study of all 50 states to find out which city in each state was the richest and believe it or not Chicago is not Illinois' richest city.

Nope.

In fact, this town is within commuting distance of "Chi-Town". Chicago "is less than 30 miles south of [it]."

So which city is it?

Winnetka.

This study showed that Winnetka's "typical household earns at least $200,000 a year. [It's] one of the wealthiest villages in the United States, [it] is also the best educated. Some 88.1% of Winnetka’s adult residents have a bachelor’s degree or higher, the largest share of any U.S. town."

Huh? Who would have thought that?

I know it's a suburb, but I really wasn't expecting it to be this town.

Interesting.
