Also know as the "Saltbox Place" the Guiteau House on Galena Ave is Freeport, is said to be haunted.

The childhood home of Charles Guiteau who was beaten as a child buy his father, and went on to become known as "an American lawyer with a history on mental illness".

In 1881, Charles shot President Garfield while yelling crazy talk.

As the "story" goes, they hung Charles Guiteau for shooting the president, and for some reason they buried him in the basement of the home in Freeport. So anyway, how it's haunted or something.

In 2008 a group began restoration of the home as it sat empty for many years.
