Two Rockford high schools will be getting a visit from the C-SPAN Bus on Wednesday.

Its first stop will be East High School from 8:15 a.m. to 10 a.m. Then the bus will be making its way to Jefferson High School starting at 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

C-SPAN representatives will be talking with students on how they could use their resources in the classroom.

Also giving them an insight as to how a network handles public affairs programming, resources, and covering the federal government in Washington D.C.

This is super cool especially for those interested in journalism or even just media studies. I wish this would've come around when I was in school.

The C-SPAN Bus is an interactive, multimedia mobile classroom that's been traveling the country teaching students since 1993.

In the last 25 years, it has attended 8,000 events and hosted 1.5 million visitors, which includes 40,000 teachers and 800,000 students.
