On April 20th, officers with the Winnipeg Police Service found a 68-year-old man who was injured after being run over by his own car after he was carjacked.

The man said he was getting into his car when the two suspects stopped him, struck him with an object and then pulled him out of the car.

When the suspects took off with the victims car, they ran him over.

A little less than an hour later, a female was spotted driving the car. Police tried to initiate a stop, but she took off at a high rate of speed.

Later that afternoon, police responded to a call of someone shouting for help from a garbage can. Officers identified the 16-year-old girl as the female suspect and found the keys to the car.

The teen was charged with robbery, aggravated assault, dangerous operation of a conveyance, flight while pursued by peace officer, and operation of a conveyance while prohibited by order under criminal code.
