A little over two weeks from now we get to take part in that much-beloved ritual of setting our clocks ahead. In spite of multiple efforts from Illinois state lawmakers over the years, we still have to do this clock-changing routine twice a year.

Try a little experiment at work or home. Mention to people around you that it's about a month until it's time to change the clocks again. See how many people respond with something to the effect of "Again? I ****ing hate having to do that!"

If Illinois State Senator Andy Manar gets his wish, people in Illinois would move their clocks ahead one hour this coming spring, then never have to change them again.
