There are certain jobs you look at and say, "Nope. Never. Couldn't possibly do it." Washing windows on a Chicago Skyscraper is, for me, one of those jobs.
Perhaps part of it was realizing that whenever I walked outside, the chance that I would be confronted by a hungry zombie mob was generally a small one.
