Puppy scams are nasty, cruel hoaxes that often leave the victim(s) emotionally devastated, especially when there are kids involved. To make matters worse, those who get taken in by a puppy scam are often losing some serious money to the perpetrators.

One of the worst but most effective scams to thrive under pandemic conditions has been the puppy scam. It really kicked into gear during the many lockdowns because more people were home, but even with less restrictions, it's still going strong.

Maybe 2021 is winding down, but the efforts of scammers targeting the public have done nothing but intensify over the course of the entire year.
