Known as the oldest of meteor showers, and the one that peaks at the tail end of April each year, the Lyrid meteor shower will peak just in time for Earth Day (April 22nd).
The International Space Station, or ISS, has been floating around above the Earth since 1998, and this week is a particularly good time to look up and catch it as it flies over the Rockford area multiple times.
Mars has been getting bigger and brighter in the night sky in 2018, and it will reach its peak on Thursday night, bringing the best opportunity for you to check out the Red Planet since 2003.
