Star Wars is my favorite movie franchise of all time. I remember my parents taking me to see it for the very first time. My mind was blown away. I had never seen anything like it before and never will again. The next day, they took me to the store, and they bought me my first Star Wars action figure. It was Luke Skywalker.

Now, many years later, Star Wars is bigger than ever with several more movies, TV shows, books, comics, cartoons, merchandise, clothing, and of course, all of those amazing toys. Star Wars even has its own day, May 4th. A play on words from the greatest movie line of all time, "May The Force Be With You," or "May The 4th Be With You." There are celebrations all over the world on that day.

If you're a fan of Star Wars, there's a celebration in Illinois you don't want to miss. It's the 11th annual Light Saber Light Up Freeze Mob and Galactic Force Battle For Chi-Town 2026. It's on May 4th from 7pm to 9pm on the museum campus by the Shedd Aquarium and Field Museum in Chicago. Come dressed as your favorite character, and don't forget your light saber because it's BYOLS.
