Security Footage of Deplorable Couple Stealing A Puppy From An Illinois Pet Store
File this under "inexcusable."
Shoplifting is never ok, we can all agree on that. We could probably come to a mutual agreement when it comes to people stealing food out of hunger and separation. Unfortunately, despite the backstory or reason for stealing, laws are laws. As far as this article, this is just messed. Perhaps the worst part of that similar instances of the same attempts has happened at this Furry Babies at Yorktown Mall.
As I break down what is happening in this security footage and factor in a few other important details, you might this was methodically planned theft or dognapping.
HERE'S WHAT CAN BE CONFIRMED
The Furry Baby in Yorktown is very similar in the look to their Rockford location inside of CherryVale Mall.
The man and woman collaborating are not good people.
WHAT WENT DOWN
It looked like a normal day at the Furry Babies in Lombard. The story was super busy and crowded. During the hustle and bustle inside the store, in comes a couple who clearly had a planned purpose and it was not to buy a dog. Instead, they knew the exact puppy they would steal and planned out how to escape. In the video, the coconspirators put their plan into action, at least that's how it appears.
In short, a man and woman enter the pet store and split up. The man appears to interact with a store employee. (Plan A: Create a distraction. Check)
At the same time, you will see a woman grab a puppy from the crib, which you're not supposed to do, by the way, and place the puppy in some sort of bag.
MASKED OR UNMASKED
This is important because by being masked it'll be quite the challenge to find out who they are. However, that can quickly change should they be caught leaving the mall by security cameras. This is exactly what happened according to FOX 31.
We know what car they were driving, it’s a purple Honda Odyssey, it has no plates on it. Obviously, they had planned to do this.
