Rockton Lions Club Announces Cancellation of Old Settlers Days
Another festival has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Old Settlers Days' organizers, Rockton Lions Club, made the unfortunate announcement of the cancellation of their scheduled 2020 four-day festival. The event was scheduled to take place June 18-21 at Settlers Park in Rockton. No musical acts had yet been announced.
In a message on Facebook,
We want to thank our loyal fans, sponsors, and the volunteers that make Old Settlers Days possible. Many have already put in countless hours, and the Rockton Lions Club cannot thank them enough. We are so proud of all your hard work.
The Rockton Lions Club raises money for other area organizations, leaving the question of how and if funds will be raised to benefit those organizations in 2020.
As OSD is the largest fundraiser for the Rockton Lions Club, we will be looking into alternative fundraising efforts. Look for new, fun events coming from Rockton Lions. We are working on a few ways to interact during this unique experience.
Organizers say OSD will return in 2021. You can read more here.
Past OSD performances include Zac Brown Band, Luke Bryan, Granger Smith, Chris Jason, Big & Rich, Brett Eldredge, Trace Adkins, Jake Owen, and many more.
