Sept 12th in downtown Rockton is for the dogs!

Mellany's Dog Walk to benefit RMH Pet Therapy is taking place Saturday Sept 12th in lovely downtown Rockton.

Live music, prizes, and treats and water for the dogs and their humans.  People without dogs are also welcome, of course! This year will be the 3rd annual Dog Walk to benefit pet therapy at Rockford Memorial Hospital.  Mellany McDuffa was a long-time employee of the hospital.  After her death from ovarian cancer in 2012,  a memorial fund was established in her name to fund the pet therapy program.  This year some of the money raised at the walk will be donated to the Rock River Valley Blood Center because so many cancer patients need to get blood during their chemotherapy treatments.
