Rockford Park District just announced they will increase green fees at all of their golf courses in 2019 and it's about time.

In an effort to decrease operational expenses, increase revenue, or provide more support to our golf courses and programs, Park District officials took suggestions from golfers on what to do. Bottom line: increase golf fees and membership rates, which is long overdue.

In a press release, Laura Gibbs Green, Public Relations Manager at Rockford Park District, said: "Over and over we heard that we should increase fees as our courses are very affordable and the quality remains high." And the key part of that statement is about quality. Some of Rockford Park District's golf courses have been listed as best in the United States and have had very reasonable prices for the better part of a decade. According to mystateline.com, green fees will increase only slightly.

The Park District fees across all five golf courses were tweaked. Sinnissippi's daily fee went up $3 over 2018's price of $10.
