Rockford Natives to Appear on Shark Tank
With Glen and Tracie Burress' invention, Socktabs, you never have to lose one of your socks again.
I have a pile of mismatched socks on the top of my dresser in our closet. My husband asks me all the time when I'm going to throw them away, yet I never do.
I keep hoping that one day, I will be able to find the matching sock and have the pair in my drawer to wear again.
Glen and Tracie Burress are just as frustrated as I am with my mismatched sock collection. They took action against the washer and dryer and created Socktabs.
Socktabs is a small device that pinches the wings of the socks together by inserting a tab through each sock to hold them together.
Once you have the Socktab in place, you can toss your socks in the washer and dryer knowing that you will have both of them when your laundry is finished.
The Burress family knows this is a fantastic idea and have pitched their idea to Shark Tank in January during an open casting call. They then were able to go and tape their part of an episode in June.
The wait is finally over for us to see how our hometown family did. Tonight on WTVO at 8 p.m., you can see the Burress' Socktabs on Shark Tank!
I wish them well and hope that they got a deal. I also hope that if they did, they didn't end up with Kevin as their Shark. He scares me!
