Rockford Man That Used Laser Pointer Gets Prison Time

Brenton Wells of Rockford is going to serve time for pointing a "laser pointer" at an airplane, overhead at the Chicago-Rockford International Airport. Mr. Wells will be in prison for 15 months, with probation for 3 years after. MyStateline 

Back on December 6th, Brenton Wells aimed a laser pointer at the aircraft from his backyard. Mr. Wells admitted to pointing it at the aircraft, even as the airplane moved past where he lives.
