Rockford Man Charged with First Degree Murder After Mall Shooting
A Rockford man was charged regarding a shooting in February.
RR Star is reporting that Devin L. Stevenson has officially been charged as result of a shooting at the CherryVale Mall earlier this year.
According to the RR Star, he was, ' indicted on Wednesday on eight counts of first-degree murder, four counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm and one count of aggravated discharge of a firearm.'
The shooting was on February 23 and resulted in the death of 31-year-old, Ricky Smith.
Winnebago County State Attorney, Joe Bruscato, says this is still an ongoing investigation.
