Gander Outdoors on Perryville is closing, again.

Once known as Gander Mountain, the former closed and then reopened with new ownership and a new name, but seemingly the same result.

Gander Outdoors is owned by Camping World Holdings, whose CEO is Marcus Lemonis, star of CNBC’s “The Profit.” Lemonis bought Gander Mountain assets in bankruptcy court in May and is beginning to reopen many of the chain’s stores to serve customers who are passionate about hunting, fishing, water sports, camping, and active and shooting sports.

The Rockford store closure apparently has less to do with production but more a shift in the overall Gander business model. Gander Outdoors is supposedly focusing on RV sales and the lack of space at the Rockford location could be a factor.

A date has yet to be announced for the official closure but while Gander Outdoors is still operating they've got 40% discounts on everything but guns, ammo, and generators.
