Rockford Bar Closing After Two Shootings in 6 Months

On the Rocks Bar & Grill is indefinitely closed.

I've never been to On the Rock Bar & Grill, but it was a popular hangout for many.

According to WTVO, the bar on 3457 Merchandise Dr. will be closed indefinitely. If you aren't familiar with the area, it is near Alpine and Sandy Hollow.

If you remember, the bar was in the news in March after a shooting. On the 27th of that month, a man and women were both injured in a shooting in the parking lot.

On August 25th, there was a man injured during an early morning shooting in the parking lot.

The owners have decided the bar should remain closed, and I don't blame them.

This is the second shooting now in the last six months.
