1976 - A likeness of Elton John was revealed at Madame Tussaud's waxworks in London.

1969 - "Pinball Wizard" was released by The Who in the UK. It was the first selection the public heard from the rock opera "Tommy."

1965 - A girl fell into the crowd from the balcony at a Rolling Stones gig in Manchester, England. Thankfully, the crowd broke her fall below and she was not injured.
