The Robin Drive-in opened in August 1950. It could accommodate 726 cars. On May 29, 1984, a storm that included a possible tornado damaged the Robin Theater movie screen. The west half of the screen was ripped away, but the theater continued to show movies on the remaining east side of the screen.

In June 1984 the owners of the Robin Drive-In Theater were denied a building permit to replace the theater's wind damaged screen. In 1986 the theater was closed and subsequently put up for sale and never reopened.
I still remember going to the Robin with my family. Going down to the swings before the movie with my brother and falling asleep in the car and waking up in the bed the next day.
One funny memory is getting on my brothers shoulders infront of the projection booth and trying to make hand animals on the screen. That fun only last a few minutes, the theater manager and my parents didn't quite enjoy it as much as we did, but we still laugh all those years later.
